Black Rapids

Black Rapids, seven months in the making, is the successor to Greene's tables, Riptide, which sold to Peter Marino for Dior in South Korea, and Reef, which appeared in Architectural Digest, Italy and Architectural Digest.

Black Rapids, inspired by the tumultuous rivers of Glacier National Park and the swirling waves and currents of the sea, is at once a functional table base and a hand sculpted work of art to be seen through diaphanous glass. Black Rapids is formed from carved, curved and lacquered steel and bronze - bubbling swirls of silver steel, welded layers of dark gray and highlights in golden bronze.
