Ducking Under Bridges

Lacquered steel waves, sea grass and driftwood against a column offer a view of an ocean harbor or the underside of a river’s bridge.

Inspired by memories of friendship and living on the California and Rhode Island coasts, Ducking Under Bridges, is part of Greene’s Reflections series of wall sculptures - place based explorations incorporating memories and reflections on history, economic, social and environmental change. Other works in the series include Tide Tables, Conversation over the Fjords and Underwater.

In 2015, Hypertherm, the leading plasma cutter manufacturer, designed a national print ad campaign around Greene's work, Ducking Under Bridges.
