Wild Nest

From the welding shop floor, I sweep up the negative space of my larger sculptures. I pull the golden scraps of steel from the dust and save them. They inspire new kinds of work and new techniques. From a box of long, slender steel scraps one spring, I started weaving.

My work is about memory, relationships, and the environment. With no hard connections, Wild Nest is held together only by the relationship of each piece to all the others.

Wild Nest, a steel vessel woven from the scraps of larger works, was in Greene's 2013 solo show at The Green Space in NYC, was exhibited at Human Arts gallery in California and was part of Greene’s 40 piece installation, Botanicals, at NYC’s Collective 2 Design Fair.
